Vu's White W203

Bought it in anahiem, 07 c230 with 42,xxxx miles pre certified at the mb dealership.

Then I shipped it from california to the east coast where i now live and work at until I'm done with what I'm doing and move back to San diego.

Pictures are from when I first got it, stock and nothing done to it then present.

When I first got it and drove it off the lot

Shipped it to north carolina, took about 4-5 days and since it was on an open trailer it came to me with lots and lots of dead bugs every where! This was after I washed it. Also I plasti dipped my grill and put HIDs in california before I got it shipped.

Got it lowered on H&Rs, installed it myself

Some random lowered shots

Got my Resonator and muffler w/ amg tips delete replaced with magnaflow muffler and 3in tip outlet.

Year later, after deployment to afghanland I decided to paint my wheels gloss black w/ blue brake calipers and it came out perfect and paint matched the amber lights.
Cost, $45

Very Very Nice!
H&R cut Springs or Coilovers?

The Only thing I would think about changing might be the reverse rake.
Personally I think it would look a bit better either Lowered in the front more or raised just a smidge in the rear.

Right now, I have75mm wheel studs on order, and Blue anodized muteki lug nuts coming in tomorow. Space my wheels out all around, fenders rolled, get gloss black vinyl wrap from Don nguyen, then get cf front lip and stay there for awhile or until after my next deployment.

Thanks! Yes, they are H&R cut for now until I get coilovers then I'll fix the reverse rake because people think its not leveled and get asked a lot about it.

All you need to do to fix the rake it's put on some #4 pads on the rear if you haven't. That's the only issue with h&r springs with the post facelift since they come with the #1 pads.

Those muteki lug nuts won't work with your OEM rims if you don't know that already. You will need ball seat nuts, not cone (also called tapered) nuts. Make sure you have that sorted out before you do the stud conversion.

OH, I'm pretty sure I can just cut them to proper length if I have too.

Also, thanks for the positive comments guys!

I run Muteki lugs on my AMG Style 3's without a problem Unless his wheels are ball seated.

I think it looks weird with the stock wheels and the cut springs, looks way too low and "off" to me. I think only the past pic on post #2 looks good.

I have 75mm studs but also running spacers so mine don't look too long. And as frank said all OEM mb wheels are ball seated. You can install but you won't get full contact and eventually the wheels gonna pop off.

With OEM ball seat against the tapered/acorn style you have less contact holding the wheels on which then leads to stress load on the studs which will eventually cause them to break. But if you comfortable driving like that that's your call. One aggressive turn or sudden stop and you might be rolling on rotors and frame. I wouldn't want to be the cause for the safety of fellow drivers.

Do you drink milk past the expiration date and remove mattress tags as well?? :-)

Not worth it, IMHO.

To the OP, yes it's a shame - I would love to run lug nuts like those also. One cheap alternative is OEM Honda open-ended ball seat lug nuts. Not pretty at all, but cheap and work well with a stud conversion. I forget if my build thread has the part # listed, but a Google search should reveal several Honda-Tech threads that list it. I think they're a buck each from Majestic or a little more from a local Honda dealer.

Yup they're the s2k OEM lugs I believe. They're 19mm instead of 17mm hex if I remember correctly.
