I saw the last part of a TV ad for our beloved coupes a few days ago. Don't see many MB ads on TV, and this is the first time I've seen the coupe advertised.

Anybody else catch it??????

At times, it is shown frequently on the various Discovery/TLC and A&E/History channels. Those are the only places I remember seeing it.

that's where i remember seeing them as well, usually with their bigger brothers along side them.

There are Bay Area specific ad (the coupe is being driven over the Bay Bridge) that are on all the time. I think MB needs to hire the VW ad people though.

they show the MB ad every commercial break during the ATP tennis master series because MB is a major sponsor of those events. I must have seen the commercial 100 times.

and that's I know about the C230k, well to me the commercial worked.

VW makes the best commercials. did you see the one where the guy looks like he's late for his own wedding, but is really trying to break up the wedding. Background song: J Ralph - One million miles away.

Is that the one the Edmunds.com review article was referring to - the commercial with "GenX-appeal", where that guy is driving around with the sunroof open, and the music playing something like "...driving in my car..."? That's the only one I've ever seen. Just curious if they ever made another...

Oh yeah, I second that one...the VDub spots are (or should be) collectors' items. How 'bout the one in the supermarket parking lot where the guy takes down a Jetta-bound shopping cart just before impact (voice off-camera: "I-I'm okaay...")

That Bay Bridge commercial also player in L.A. last year. In Sept it was on at least two stations but then it disappeared. I've seen it only twice since then. I guess they dont want to push the C-Coupe as the other models are on all the time here.

the vw commercials are great! i even downloaded some of the music that they used. from mr. roboto to one million miles away.

the one w/ the shopping cart and the one where the guy parks a mile away from everyone else are my favorite b/c it's true!

anyway, i like the mb commercial w/ geggy tah's song. it's quirky, fun and the car makes me sort of smile as i drive along.

Yeah, they're great. In fact, the Passat ad worked for me when I got my '99. The one I really liked was the one with "French" music and the guy and woman are each driving a black Passat eyeing each other. Then reality hits when a toddler in the back seat throws something at the dad... The only current one I'm not crazy about is the guy thinking about the 4-motion then you see him spinning around in an old Taurus or something. I don't like the music...
