Noise coming from suspension
My 2006 c230 is about to hit 70k miles. The front drivers side suspension is making noise like something is loose.
It only happens when I drive over a bump or a dip.
I'm going to take it to my mechanic but I wanted to know if that is normal for that many miles.....If one is making noise, will the others start having the same problem later on?

sounds like a bushing, worn out strut, loose endlink. do a visual inspection and check to see if a bolt is loose or check and see if the strut gone. just press down on the side the noise is coming from and the car should rebound instantly when pressed down.

I'm guessing if it doesn't rebound then there's a problem that needs a fix....this is my first Benz that I've owned so I don't know much about it.

most car suspension consist of the same components like sway bar, end links, control arms, etc. OEM bushings are usually made of rubber and wear out. Id start there and work to the other areas. you'll also know when strut is bad is when you push down on it it bounces a couple of times, like when you see cars driving down the road and you know the shocks/struts are bad and they hit a bump the car just keeps bouncing after a couple of times. i usually see it in oldsmobiles and old caddys lol

Sorry for the late response. It ended up being the bushings but these couple of days, there's noise coming from the steering wheel. It's really annoying. I asked around and Mercedes owners say its usual. My uncles 06 s500 has the same problem
