Wooohoo, actually on DirecTV or Dish we all get TNN at the same time but with the magic of Tivo I can wait until I'm ready and then skip the 20 minutes of commercials.

RATS!!! I caught the last four minutes of it. However, according to my Comcast Info Guide, it will be on again tomorrow at the same time.

The show is called "Car and Driver Television"

There really wasn't much substance or specific focus on the coupe. The most complimentary comment to any car came from the editor Frank Marcus I think. On the first day of the street driving, he siad the coupe was really his favorite out of all the cars.

Well, the Kleeman Coupe did not make the top 10

That's because the #10 car does 0-60 in 6 secs or less. The C-Class can't compete with that (with the excepion being the AMG).

Check the Mini Cooper though

250+HP from the 1.6 liter S/C engine. They just upped the boost and ported the valvetrain. WTF? We should be able to get at least that from the 1.8L.

Compound boosted motors are making over 300 from that little, unloved(by BMW anyway- cause its a Diamler Chrysler motor!) 1.6 Brazilian built mill.

Guys, there's plenty of HP to be had from either motor...but youre going to have to work a little harder than ricer-esque bolt ons, or get used to estimating your HP in 'tuner ponies'....300 should be easy on that scale...

Go gorilla...look for things that improve breathing performance- a larger throttle body, port match the exhaust and intake(might not be needed on intake with the nylon 99 intake..) manifolds, more boost(the pulleys have NOT maxed out the M45), true cold air intakes(not the ricer CAI which draw hot air from the engine compartment), a little head work....hell, there's lots more ideas...this is how it starts, people WILLING to take a chance and do something to the engine...not the folks who sit on the sidelines and whine about the warranty implications.
