Where to get a door lever "ornamental cover"?

I'm going to replace the worn and nicked door grips on my car with a fresh new set.

I would also like to replace this piece of trim that the door opener lever is set into:

EPC-net shows only the version with the power seat controls, lists it as part A-203-727-37-28, which I can't find anywhere except at the dealership for a price of around $50! (fyi their price on the door pulls was reasonable)

Are there any other sources for this piece of trim, and at a more reasonable price?

Thanks. John

ebay, salvage yard, rmeuropean or mymercedesparts are good places to look

what you can also do is buy some super fine steel wool and scrub the chrome on the handle. thats the best thing to do to make chrome look new again. body shops do that to chrome pieces to buff them up

They're talking about the cup that the lever goes into, not the lever, though.

Best thing to do is have the dealership pull up your car's schematics, get the part #s for both sides, and go to the sites that Phil suggested.

Looks like typical diamond ring damage.

Yes I am talking about the plastic insert, not the chrome lever.

I did say that the only place I have found it is from the dealership. Thanks for mymercedesparts -- did not know about that place -- however they don't have it either. So far it's only the dealership, they do not have any info other than the EPC-net diagram showing the one with the power seat controls, and their price is about $50 (comparatively their price for the grab handle is $42). Thanks for the suggestion on used parts -- probably a good chance that I'll find one that is still scratch-free.

The scratches are probably all from my titanium (stainless steel?) wedding ring ... just a simple band but I guess hard enough to scuff up the chrome and plastic. I guess there's something to be said for gold ...

If you can get the part # from the dealership you can put it in rmeuropean or mymercedesparts. Sometimes the parts don't show up under the car search but if you enter the part # it'll show up.

Have you thought of wrapping it with carbon fibre?
It will look better than the original and you will have a choice of colours.

Okay I found the diagram on parts.com ... they call it a "switch bezel", same diagram as EPC-net showing the one with the power seat switches, retail $54 and discount $38. For the C240/C320 it shows a different interior door panel, switch bezel with memory for $120+ and switch bezel w/o memory for $38 again. On the C230 I have no switches, they are down on the side of the seat instead. And I don't recall there was an option to put the switches up on the door. But it's still called a switch bezel and still retails for over $50. Maybe I can just rub out these scratches ...
