275/40/17 on w203 rears?

Any reason not to do this? Seems like they will fit.

Well they fit. Looks good with my stock ride height. I'll have to swap out my fronts for 245 now. Pictures If anyone cares.

245 in front is going to be an issue with the space between the tire and the suspension. it'll either rub against the strut and spring or will rub against the fender.

Ah cool. So do you think 225/45/17 is the max i'll fit in the front or can I go a little bigger like 235?

Can we get a shot from the rear?
Why 275's? Seems a bit overkill for the 2.6L V6

This more of what you were looking for? Not sure about overkill but the difference in handling between 225 and 275 is pretty distinct.

W203 c270 cdi 2002 model
I bought my c270cdi with 18 inch AMG rims with a 265/35/ 18 tyre. The steering is a bit stiff but no chaffing at all.

I have the same size all round. I bought it like this. As I mentioned , the steering is a bit stiff, probably due to the 265's. I would not change it though!

My humble apologies! Upon closer inspection I now realise the front has 235/40/18's.
