Hi there.... hopefully some one has had the same problem as i have.... my low beam light just went off and the dealer charges me $300 just to replace it (i have factory installed Projector lights), for which i found the aftermarket set of Projector headlights with the black housing for that very same price(the set) BUT my major problem here is...That apparently the ones i have found for some reason they DO NOT fit the Kompressor model...does any one know Why?? or even better if you have found a solution for this?....or maybe a set of lights that DO fit the Kompressor series.
Thank You.

And if you don't like paying $300 for a bulb,... there's another wonderful invention,... called ebay!![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
BTW,... if you gotta go see your Mercedes-Benz Stealership to change a light bulb,... how are you gonna manage to change your own headlight assemblies????

Best to change xenon bulbs in pairs,... one goes, the other will go soon as well,....
Why change them in pairs of the same brand and model? As they age, they change colour slightly,.... sometimes you see cheapskates driving with one headlight more yellowish or blue-ish than the other,..

If your willing to pay 300 to screw out a light bulb which LITERALLY takes 2 minutes to do. Would you mind sending me some money to get some stuff done on my car that I wanna do?? Figure I can waste some money on an amg wing.. Maybe some better tires.. Cut off the resonator and put a new muffler on.. ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
Seriously tho. Go on ebay. Order a new set. You can get some anywhere from 5-30 dollars probly. I mean **** you can get an HID kit for 30 dollars. I've never had an ebay HID kit fail me before. Guess I got lucky. But seriously don't go to the stealership. And paint the headlights black.

The headlights that hes looking at has black housing, which wouldn't be so simple to paint black at all if even possible. And he obviously did not go to the dealership to change a light bulb, he went to go check what's wrong with his headlights! He's obviously not willing to pay 300 for a new bulb so he's asking advice on where he can find a new set of black housing projector lights that can fit on his car
Some of you guys need to stop trying to act like smart asses, he didn't ask anything unreasonable hes asking for opinions. If you guys cant give proper opinions its better to just not bother replying rather than making yourselves look like fools. Buying things off ebay isn't even a smart idea, its a cheap idea so dont think so highly of yourselves

OP could simply replace that fried bulb for around €100 with the help of a reliable ebay seller of genuine OEM bulbs and an indy (could even do it yourself, save a few bucks), but he apparantly would rather buy a completely new set of headlights for €300. I dont see anything wrong with that...but will note that if you're not a DIY'er it will cost you to replace those headlights, even with a indy.

Why anyone would consider going from OEM BiX to those poorer quality made in China HID is really beyond me,... There are many members here who have brought DEPO (thinking they an save a few bucks), only to go to OEM BiX later on.
Blacked out OEM BiX (coupe) looks like this:
https://mbworld.org/forums/exterior-...ghts-bi-x.html
Since OP already has the OEM BiX,... if he wants it black,... all he has to do is heat gun the seals to take off lens,... take out shroud,... paint shroud,.... reassemble,... seal lens back on,.... Just remember,....once you've tried Black,... you ain't going back!,... as in, it'll be too difficult to paint it back to Chrome.
