Offsets should be about mid 30s for front and low 30s for rear.
What are your thoughts about the 17" Monoblock II's on the W203?

17.7.5 = et35 (front)

17x8.5 = et30 (rear)

These would be off of an OG C43.

Since this thread is already going, and I was already yelled at, then I might as well just use this one verses starting a new one under wheels.

These 17" Monoblocks should work then with no spacers then right? What about bolts? My car is a 2004 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan, so I don't think the brake calipers would be bigger and would cause a problem on these rims. Any thoughts?

What's an OG C43?

Anyways,.... for Mercedes AMG 17" Monoblock II's,.... check part# stamped on back!

17.7.5 = et35 (front)
MB# A202-400-04-02
AMG B66020083

17x8.5 = et30 (rear)
MB# A202-400-05-02
AMG B66020085

If we're talking about the exact same rims with above part numbers,... then you're good to go,... no spacers! And you should be fine with factory lug bolts.

Tires should be:
225/45R17 Front
245/40R17 Rear

Now go slap some rubbers on those puppies and post some pics,.... it's HammerTime!

What about 18" Monoblocks?

I have a set of non-staggered 18x8, ET31

I should be ok right? No spacers needed I am assuming at that offset.

Phister,

ok great. thanks bro

I should just use the lug nuts that comes with the spacer kit for the rears? Say the H&R 5mm kit? Is that what you would use? I am going to use a set of Vogtland springs too by the way. I just don't want any rubbing. So what would you run in the back as far as size?

PS. Kluvsbenz.. what am I asking for? Just some quick answers.. That's all.

Thanks

So I purchased some 225/35/18's and 245/35/18's for the rears on these 18x8 AMG Monoblocks..

The wheels are:

18J x 8 H2 (x3) HWA 129 401 0102 ET31

The lug nuts I have (which may not be OEM) are barely hanging out the backside of the wheel. Just a tiny nub of thread is sticking out. Scary.

So I called Phil at RadUSA and he said I needed to have like 15 to 17mm's of thread hanging out in order to be safe. Does that sound right? I know he knows what he's doing but I don't know if I heard him right. And then I would order the right lug bolts accordingly.

So I think the W203 OEM lug bolts are M12x1.5 maybe at 39mm shank. But I don't have an OEM lug bolt to measure Phil's suggested test of 15 to 17mm's of shank length sticking out the backside of the Monoblock.

Also, does anyone know if the Monoblocks requires an R12 or R14 for the ball seat?

So what lug bolt do I need?

http://www.radusadirect.com/category...l_seat.m12x15/

Also Phister suggested that I get some spacers for the rear and that will change the shank length there too. Either 5 or 10mm?

i would have run 225/40/18 in front to give the front and rear sidewalls an even look. the fronts are going to pretty thin compared to the rears.

just measure your existing shaft of the lug bolt you have and do the calculations. to kind of measure what you can do is with out the wheel on start threading the bolt into the hub. It should take 6 full rotations from the point of starting the threading to tightening the wheel. so what you can do is have a marker on the bolt and and 6 full rotations and put a marker on the shaft when you stop turning. this should give you the amount of how much shaft should be sticking out the back of the wheel so you can add that to the exsisting shaft length of the bolt you have to get what you need.

Well I am trying to mod two benz's and keep my head above water without a job. I have a website that brings in money but it's been very slow in sales.

This is not my dream Benz or my last one by any means. I have 22 more payments and a friend is buying this car or so he says. I am sure I will buy some Dunlops, Pirelli, or Yokes before then so he has something decent on there. My next ride is an E55 with 20" Vossons. So I am just trying to get this car sorted as inexpensive as possible. After the 18" Monos are on next week I am getting Vogtland springs put on and I am done besides a new video dvd head unit with nav. Service-A is coming up real soon here too. My freakin engine light came on too today. Good times.

Update... I ended up selling the 18" Monoblocks for a grand with tires.

I ended up mounting my 19" Monoblocks afterall and it looks great. I purchased 10mm RAD USA spacers front and rear with ballseat R14 lug bolts that were 55mm long and had to be cut down, which sucked. It was either 24 or 36mm shanks which would have been too short. But it's smooth as glass and no vibration at all. I thought it was gonna look like a total DONK. But it doesn't. But I still need springs obviously. I found a couple places with some W203 Carlsson's for around $180. Does anyone know who made those for them, and what kind of drop rate? 35mm would be fine, but I can't find specs on those... even on the Carlsson site. I will post pics once I get them installed. The ride is different of course, but not bad. It's smooth as glass on the highway. It looks really clean and minimal, and actually looks like a Benz. Not one of these W203's with an identity crises.
