HELP - "Restraint System Visit Workshop! SRS"
So I turned on my car, wasn't in an accident and then it gave me this error message. Never seen it before and on the rest of the forums it seems that everyone else that had this message had either been in some level of an accident or if not a whole slew of other problems were occurring at the same time. Any one have an idea if this is a serious issue that needs to be fixed? I ran over some major potholes over the weekend, so could it be that I just loosened something up and that's what caused it?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!
From what I have read here you are best to go get the code read and find out why it's there. Mercedes are the only ones that can clear the warning I think.
My theory was it's the saftey system (airbags, belts etc) so it is the one thing I would rather it get taken care of at the dealer. If my wife got into an accident and something didn't function the way it should due to a short cut I took, I'd be shattered.

Repairing and reinstalling new led door sill entry on front passenger side and wasn’t working. Pulled this module out bottom front passenger foot panel and inspected and noticed rust of some kind. Pulled it out and the instrument cluster begins to show all these errors intermittently. Trying to find and order this unit but know one knows what this even is.

To get back to the topic, I'm having a problem with my 2001 Mercedes C220 Coupe: the SRS warning light is on. I have a "RESTRAINT SYSTEM VISIT WORKS" message. (WDB2037061A193769)
After searching the forum and using the C6, I think it's a communication issue with the N2/7 module. The diagnostic says "under voltage on voltage supply at control unit" but no error code is reported.
I just tested it and I do have 12V on pins 1 and 29 of the N2/7 airbag control unit.
Is the control unit defective? Is there anything else I should check?
thanks
