My C320... you like it?... pics
So this is my 2001 C320, I have had it for about 6 months now.. have to say, I love it. It has now 155k on it. Still extremely reliable car. although it has developed a lack in power randomly when hard accelerating from zero in sport mode. Almost limp mode? idk. It just stops putting any power out for a second or two then kicks back in. then today i swear it almost died when putting it into Drive today. it cought me by surprise. Idk whats happening. any ideas? spark plugs? wires? well anyways here is the car. its on 19" AMG rims. I am looking to delete the resignator this weekend and do dual exhaust. Also jsut bought some headlights that i will be installing this weekend. they are CCFL Halogen headlights. hopefully they look good, otherwise i will put the original ones back in.

ive thought about going lower. I just don't want to go to low. I don't want the tires to be tucked under the fenders. Unless there wider. That's a whole different game. I honestly don't know if its sitting on the stock suspension as is. I'll have to look into it. But with those tires. I feel everything on the road. Everything. Reflectors and all. Not that I'm complaining. Its what you get for a low profile tire. No I have not tried a throttle reset. I will look into it and let you know. Thanks

phister thinks that everyone's car should be lower, so don't take his words to heart.
Do you know the history of the coilpacks and plugs on the car, or just the past 6 months? If not, it's certainly something you should look at.
Car looks good. I'd think about thicker sways, once you determine what you'll need to do about the springs/struts.

guy I bought the car from is a ase certified mechanic. He clammed to have replace the plugs and I'm sure nothing with the coil packs that was my first thought also. I was thinking about replacing the plugs for my own ease of mind. See how that plays out. I will reset the throttle but I do not think that's it. Because its responsive then Boggs out then kicks back in and the car goes. I think I'd consider a thicker sway bar if I can find one for the right price.

New headlights in!
Okay so i got my new headlights today. Lot more satisfied than i thought id be. I was most concerned with the fact they have vertical lines running through the plastic. Well all photos pretty much exaggerate those lines. they are not as bad as they appear. although i could not install them today i couldnt resist but to hook one up mainly because i read that CCFL headlights require additional wiring. Luckily for me everything is already done and tucked inside the headlight. soooo plug and play it was! here are the results of one just wired up. Id like to install them at night so i can get a side by side comparison. but that probably wont happen.

The car does look good indeed! I always think highly of the 3.2 engine.
I hope you can sort out the issue without too much trouble the car really does look great!
The lines through the headlamps, I see that might bug you, but my OEM SLK 2009 headlamps have those. I guess they used to put those lines like that.

funny you mention that. I've been thinking about smoking the side markers. lightly. And doing to same to the grill. Idk if I'm 100% fond of completely black I was thinking I could attempt to smoke it so its still black just lighter. I'm also contimplating smoking the tail lights. Once again just lightly. Nothing to dark

Yeah, you gotta do something about it; it stands out a bit too much that way. Even might want to consider a flat hood badge too.

you dont really need to roll fenders unless you decide to go with a really low offset and beefy tires if you stay with an offset between +23-+38 you'll be fine. for sways go for c32 or H&R or Eibach sways.
