HELP! My only key just locked inside the car.

Oh man. While messing around with my HID's I some how wasnt paying attention and my keys locked in the car. Still not sure how it happened, but it's my only key and have to pick up son from school in 90 minutes. Any ideas? I do have the hood open right now if that helps. I'm an idiot.

90 min? call AAA if you have it, I can't remember if was the C or E class but they open for me in less than 5 min. they use a small air bag between the pillar and door.... a magic little thing, most credit cards have a free road assistance

yea, best bet would be to call your local locksmith or AAA.

Can't leave the car here either since my hood is open and the key to lock it is of course on the same keyring.

It's a 5-0 magnet. It's either because of the 20 degree tint on the front door windows, the euro strips, or the exhaust. Right now I've got this one ******* cop who's given me a ticket 3x for the windows. Each time i take it off, go to court, and get it put back on a few hours later. I dont know what part of "I'm Batman" he isnt getting. It's like a game at this point. Hoping he just gives up. You'd think he'd have sum type of real police work to actually do.

Even once pulled over cause that one just wanted to check out the wheels. I told him, "good thing I wasnt drunk". He didnt laugh, at all. lol

Always thought that was like a paid members service for basically new car owners. Is it not?

It used to be free for the life of the vehicle, especially back on the 2002's. I'd call them and try to see what they say since it should have a sticker somewhere in the car saying that. They have a way to pop the door so they might just do it for free.

I locked my keys in the trunk. this may help idk how though.....they have a trick where they open your hood, disconnect and reconnect your battery and have you press the trunk button simultaneously .

Dumb question,... Where is your spare key?

I keep my spare key at home,.... But it's metal key blade is in my wallet,.... That way if I ever get into the situation you got into today, I'll be able to get into the car since my wallet is always in my pocket. Of course,.... Knock on wood.

Thanks. It used to look similar to yours. To be honest there were a few different rough spots in the process when i saw old pics of it and thought "omg what have i done to my car, im an idiot" and was ready to scrap it. lol But it's slowly comin together now.
