Any Turbo or SC for w203?
I was thinking bout putting a supercharger or a turbo (if possible) on my 02' c240. Does anyone know of any company that make a good supercharger or turbo. I know that kleemann and renntech make superchargers but the lowest quote i got for a kleemann SC was about 8k. Is there anything else out there that might be a lil cheaper? or does anyone know where i can get the kleeman SC for cheaper?

A few years ago I had a friend with a dyno and we dynoed a Camaro before and after a turbo installation. It was a very simple turbo install with no intercooler or water injection. This 305 V8 dynoed at 160 HP before and 310 HP after being turboed. The turbo ran off one bank with no mods to the injection system. This shop was into Votec supercharges and I was into turbo motors so it was a "I told you so" thing. I have grow to like the front mounted supercharger, but I don't think one would fit on this MB without a lot of work.
The point of this - the C240 would be an easy motor to turbo. Because of the 10.5 compression ratio you would have to be careful on turbo size and boost. If you kept the boost around 5 pounds max and use a large turbo to keep temperatures down you would far ok. A turbo could be monted low under one bank with plumbing set low. It would be hard pressed to see it is turboed and still have the good MB look to the engine compartment. A good basic book on turbocharging is "Turbochargers" by Hugh MacLnnes. Turbo installation is actually very simple. Due to the "ricers" there is a lot hipe about controllers, injection additions........ All this stuff is great if you are trying to get 600 HP out of a 1600 cc motor. For this application (C240) you don't need any of this high dollar stuff.
