Need Help ASAP!!! Accidently poured coolant into power steering tank!!!
On my way home last night my coolant level warning light came on. So after letting the car sit all night and most of the day I went to add coolant before driving the car today....but of course....being the not so pro or mechanically inclined girl i am...I poured the coolant into power steering tank!!!!!
Someone please tell me what to, besides call a tow truck or real mechanic!! I am however smart enough to know NOT to start the car until I get this straightened out! Anyone with any help or knowledge would be much appreciated!
Also any picture or diagrams anyone might have showing how to drain the power seering line.

It's good you didn't start the car after you did that, since you probably prevented further damage. At this point, your best bet is to have it towed to an independent MB repair shop in your area, here is a link to look for shops:

You can get a suction pump and suction it out. The ps fluid is thicker than the coolant so hopefully it'll still be on top and not mixed together. If it is you'll have to try to suction it out then flush the fluid out.

Yep. The PS fluid will float on top of the coolant. This is a potential problem. I would suck it out. Then remove the pipes from the rack & flush the pump & pipes. Don't run the pump connected to the rack. If you get a cocktail of water/coolant & fluid into the rack you have a terrible flushing job to do.

where is this pipe I need to remove from the rack? do u have a picture or diagram? or details on how to find this and do this stuff? I'm not in a financially good spot to take to mechanic so I'm left no choice but to do this on my own.
