After Market Head Unit wiring question
Hey guys so I am bout to install an after market head unit and i have everything figured out except a few wires on the wiring harness. I have the metra harness adapter but there is one extra wire on my Kenwood harness that says ANT CONTROL. I was just wondering where i connect this wire too since there are no more wires on the harness. Also i am installing a 4 channel amps and need to connect the remote wire to the head unit but the P. Control wire is connected to one on the metra harness. Do i just splice in to the wire and connect it? Lastly I have a light green wire coming from the head unit for the parking sensor wire, would it be ok to connect it to the black ground wire on the metra harness with the ground from the kenwood? Thanks!

Okay i figured out the ANT CONTROL wire is only used for antennas that are motorized and what not so im guessing the w203 doesnt have one. I just need to know about the remote wire and parking sensor wire..

You should be able to connect the antenna/accessory power wire from the head unit to the amp's remote turnon wire ... basically the same wire that also powers the car's antenna.
Please note though -- if your head unit doesn't control the timing of that accessory wire voltage properly, you may end up with a turn-on or turn-off pop. You might want to use a voltmeter to see how quickly the head unit raises and lower the voltage on that wire.
