Well, I'm officially a member of the 200,000 Mile club.
Not only that, I'm the original owner.
Years of good maintenance have paid off.
To celebrate, I polished her head light lenses.
She deserved it.
Who else has passed the 200K mark (Miles!) on their C Class?
Ed for sure.....

Congrats! Isn't it a really great feeling. 210K for now and not planning on letting up.
Hopefully I'll pass it down to my daughter in 4 years, should be over 300K by then.

I have a 04 C240 4Matic and last month hit 100,000 miles. All the cars I had in the past I regretted even getting close to 100,000, but I am looking forward to my next 100,000 hopeful miles in my car.
Congrats on your car being 200,000 miles old

Sad thing is, do I continue to put money into the car?
I can feel that new shocks are needed, time for new CO's,
and other stuff. It's hard to justify dumping money into the car.
But it seem to run fine, but I'm still dealing with the head gasket leak, which has been going on for a while.

Yeah, you've been talking about that leak way too long.
A couple of years ago, I would have said no, don't throw any more money into it, but I've been enjoying mine worry-free for several years now as well. Of course, you never know what will happen next.

Tough decision. I guess a lot depends on your finances and what you would replace it with. A head gasket leak sounds like a serious enough problem to give me cause, but my basic rule is that if you don't have something in mind that you would like better, pay to fix the ride you like. If you'd rather not get another car (new or "pre-owned"
) - especially if finances are tight - then fixing the car you have would be less expensive to buying a new one.

Agreed. Fixing and maintaining the car you own is usually almost always cheaper than purchasing a new one. And if it has everything you want already, why get rid of it?
Well I am very close I am right around 197,000 sadly I have been carpooling to summer classes at college so have been putting very little miles on The C320 but will be changing the oil tonight that is always fun.
I just recently picked up my 05 C230 SS and it only has 110k mi, it runs sooo smooth! I have a long way to go before 200k but I'm sure it will be a smooth ride! I plan on keeping it for ever!
I'm at 99,800 miles right now and can't complain - runs smooth, tranny fluid, spark plugs changed, gotta change the fuel filter and differential fluid so I can be ready for the next 100k miles!
Original owner of 2006 C230 A/T with 110,000 miles... trying to keep her another 90K miles to make the 200K club.
I can deal with Check Engine Light stuff (been through quite a few now, Cam Magnets, MAF sensor, etc. - all fixed by myself), but if there is anything mechanically serious something like cam chain, head gasket, transmission, etc., then not sure.
