help, front wheel bearings all too small!
Well I ordered replacement wheel bearings from FCPeuro for a front wheel and both bearings, and even the grease seal are undersized! The old raceways had to be hammered out but the new ones just dropped in and clearly were too small. I don't get how the OD of everything is about 1-2 mm too small yet the ID fits the shaft fine. I went to another supplier down the street and they also gave me undersized bearings. How can my wheel hub be larger then all these bearings?
Anyone have any ideas whats wrong before I throw in the towel and just buy a new hub with bearings installed?

happened to me too! Your parts supplier clearly made an error. I took photos and measurements of mine and sent it to parts supplier. He did apologise amd refund me and did not even ask for them back. I needed get the car back on the road so I got the bearing from the dealer.
this is what I sent the supplier

I would like to inform you of incorrect parts#405-330 ordered via your site for my 2005 C240 base sedan.
The bearing kit is incorrect and does not fit.
1: the outer bearing measures 21.4mm ID while the shaft and old bearing is 22mm
2: the inner seal as you can see from the picture is also incorrect and is also missing the magnetic ABS ring to activate the sensor.
Please advise.. I do wish to return for refund. Do you have the correct parts?
I believe it may be: W0133-1716783

What was wrong with the bearings? I have actually never seen someone replace or talk about replacing them on a w203 and my car at just under 200,000 miles has perfect bearings still

SKF BR17 & BR12 were previously listed as a fit for a number of Mercedes chassis. I've removed those chassis from our fitment guides as they are likely incorrect. The best option is the Mercedes kit which is very complete, inexpensive and pictured below.
