2001 C320 Automatic
Farewell MBworld it was a great trip and experience.
Well my 2001 c320 unfortunately had a hiccup all of a sudden after cleaning the maf and throttle body.
Turns out none of the above cleaning i performed on the vehicle was related to this so called hiccup .
After researching some of the best Benz mechanics in Sacramento i came across stolls german auto.
http://www.yelp.com/biz/stolls-germa...rancho-cordova
forgive their yelp ratings they are awesome at stolls.
The mechanic ran a compression test and cylinder 1 has low compression which is fairly strange to me.
This car has every maintenance procedure performed as well as many parts that have been replaced,.
The sparks were changed at 98 k miles and now cylinder 1 is failing im guessing its the rings or cans not really sure.
2 used spark plugs were the fix to the misfire. Since flakes of oil were between the spark plug it was close to throwing a check engine light.
Anyways i would like to thank all members for supporting me and guiding me through the steps to keeping a precious mercedes.
it does take money to keep these cars up but at 136 k miles i think ive had my fun with this car.
Glynn you are my hero and extremely helpful.
The mechanic stated these sparks could last between 15k - 30 k miles depending on the oil leak getting into the cylinders.
I have the car listed on craigslist for 8500$. due to the fact that it has k&n filters. AMG shocks that aren't installed yet, slotted rotors and brand new brake pads, sub-woofer setup with kickers all around including the deck. and i just paid for the valve cover gaskets . I think this is reasonable since the next owner will have to redo the engine or fix that 1 cylinder.
Im sure someone will have fun with her.
Again thank you all and hopefully i can afford another mercedes later on.
Mercedes is one hell of a car.

Go well bud. I hope they have checked it's not a piece of carbon on a valve seat. Does the car smoke or use oil?
Hope you come back to a three pointed star!

im aiming for 8k when a teenager comes along the way.
car does not smoke. car does not burn oil. just has tiny flakes on the sparks. i just dont want to rebuild an engine. id rather sell it and find another with 60k to 70k when i can throw a few thousand dollars towards a new car. Hopefully i get what i find. but stay strong mbworld.

I checked your ad on craigslist Why didn't you state it has a problem? Its kind of misleading don't you think? Just wondering
One of a kind Black on Black mercedes benz 2001 c320
Ive owned this thing for 2 years and has given me nothing but joy and pride. Unfortunately i am going to have to sell it because of child support
There is nothing more painful than getting rid of a car , when you have invested money in your car.
* Waterpump OEM
* Valve Cover Gaskets
* Transmission Flush
* Brake Booster
* Brake Light Switch
* 800$ Magnaflow Custom Quad Exhaust
* S Class Taillights
* Custom Subwoofer setup

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
I remember my first new Mercedes was $ 8,500. out the door. I was thinking how can I come up with $ 212.50 each month for 3 three years to keep it?

If the car does not smoke or use oil then it only has a leaking valve on no 1 cylinder or the mechanic botched the compression test. Did he test at WOT. Valve trouble on M112 engines is unheard of.
