The Xenon lights can be ordered with the car for about $700 extra bucks. We would not have had it come any other way.

I see all these beautiful C-Class coupes and sedans without the nice Xenon lights (instead having those boring halogens) and I have to pause.

There are aftermarket companies that offer something that somewhat looks the same, but only in appearance, not in full function.

The Xenon is only the Low beam and the hi beam is still reg. halogen,

and The Bi-xenon is both Low beam and hi beam are xenon, which is white and bright hopes thia helps

Just to let you know that now there are two brands available in this market. The original Mercy packing is made by Hella and OEM is made by Bosch. Both are almost the same quality but for sure the original Mercy will cost more. I have sold many many pcs in my mkt.

Not exactly. The highbeam bulb is an H7 halogen in both applications. The bi-xenons use a slightly different bulb and have a moveable plate in front of the xenon bulb. When the headlights are set to low beams, the plate is in front of the bulb and helps create the beam cutoff pattern. When switched to high beams, the H7 bulbs come on and the plates move out from in front of the xenon bulbs and the cutoff pattern is almost eliminated.

Original mercedes bi xenon headlights are made by automotive lighting (Bosch) for the W203 sedan & estate...and are made by Hella for the W203 coupe...
Hella also gets to make the factory installed bi xenons for W209, W211, W163...

Steve, I think the W163 (hella) bixenons are brighter than my W203 bixenons... do u agree?

since I have both, my W203 is brighter and whiter than my W163 in my own observation

I don't know...I drive a 1993 W202 C250D with retorfitted OEM xenons and a 1990 R129 300SL24 with retrofitted OEM xenons...

I do know that the average automotive lighting bi xenon's innerlife is of much!!! more quality then the Hella bi xenon is...especially those of the mexican made 163s...
