2002 C240 Radiator Fan not working
Simptoms :
1) Coolant Leaking, needed to refill 1-2lts of coolant every month
2) Engine would overheat due to lack of coolant
3) Found leak on the two small tubes that connect the oil cooling apparatus? Small rubber hoses about 2 inches in length - Fixed
4) Lower radiator hose blew, all coolant leaked - replaced hose, filled coolant
5) Radiator started leaking coolant - fixed replace radiator
6) Still overheating, we checked and the thermostat is not working, apparently this was the culprit, it would not open - removed, waiting for replacement
7) Now, apparently the cooling fan does not work, and I get a Coolant-Visit Workshop, so we let the car run until 100 Celcius:
A) so we checked all the fuses, all are ok, front, back and inside fuse boxes.
B) we checked the coolant level, ok
C) we checked for leaks - none
D) we checked if the fan was getting power - it is but the fan is not turing on
So, we looked closer, and you can actually here the fan motor wanting to start but did not.
Any opinions? Should I have the Fan replaced? I really dont want to being almost $1000 dls!!!

Either the fan motor or it's controller would seem to have blown. Comes as one unit. For an older car you might want to get one from a breaker's yard.
Your thermostat is most unusual. Benz thermostats are designed to fail open resulting in a P0128 & cold running.

With enough time & money anything is repairable. I don't know anybody that has attempted a repair.
