Help with parktronic install

I got the parktronic install kit from Steve. The rear retrofit one. It comes with 3 cables, display, 4 sensors and control unit. The short cable connects the display to the main cable. The other cable connects the sensors to the main cable. Now, where do I mount the control unit? The control Unit has 2 large plugs. One plugs into the main wireharness and I have no idea where the other plugs into. Any idea or help would be appreciated.

Yo Steve... wanna do business with meh? I could bring u buyers. Only orders, no need for u to be here. And u give me a percentage from what I sell. What do u think?

O_o

Ok. Now I’m serious. I can bring u buyers and u give me percentage from each deal. What do u say?

How much?

I'd love to have this option on my car, I find I can't tell where the back is on it - can parktronic be easily retrofitted to any North American car?

I think I paid around 800 for it. Guys, i still need help with install. I managed to find a spot on the rear sam unit where I plugged in the connector. One connector goes to the sensors and the other to the rear display. Seems like everything is plugged in but still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Is this a generic one or one specifically for the Mercedes?

There is no switch involved. It works when you put the car in reverse. The switch is for the front parktronic which i do not have.

flicker

I get a flicker on the display when I start the car. I guess it must have to be activated with stardiag. Will have to find out next week now.

In the OEM factory setup the main control unit sits against the firewall inside the car under the dash at the pass side...(in the 202, 203, 208 and 210).
With the MB original after market rear parktronic kit, however, the control unit sits against the leftside trunkwall near the spring/SAM unit - 2 drilled holes are required (according to mercedes' WIS). The unit sits in between of the rear quarter panel and trunkwall with the connectorside pointing downwards.

Since I had to swap the original rear dome light with this new one with the parktronic sensor, it also added 2 new personal reading lights for the rear passangers. none of the these lights are working though. The buttons illuminate but that's it. They don't do anything else. Any help would be appreciated

Start with checking whether these (this domelight) have power...since the wireharness that is connected to those is new and connected to the SAM unit - it might need additional fuses...don't know...

greetingz,
Steve, do you install the parktronic? How much for just rear and how much for both front and rear. I assume it will be just like factory (based on looking at other installs i have seen that you did).

There are a few empty fuse locations as well as some empty relay locations. I will put in fuses in see if this works. I don't think so though. Will try anyway.

i already looked at the fuse layout and it says parktronic fuse 13. There is a fuse at 13 already so I still can't understand why it doesn't work. When i switch the car on, there is power at black/white and grey/white. There is no power on any cable when the car is switched off.

sunman, do you have any pictures of the parktronic install? How long did it take to install it?

at the moment I don't but I will try and get some. To sum it up , you have to cut 4 holes in the bumper with the included templete, velcro the control unit to the SAM module in the rear right, plug harness to SAM, then one end to the SAM rear where there is an empty spot for this, then run one end of the cable to the rear dome light where the display sits. Put fuse in 13 location, paint the sensors and surrounding trim rings to match color (do this first), and get it activated with benz. The display replaces the rear dome light. You get with the display, 2 personal reading lamps for the rear passangers and the dome bulbs.
