07 throwing code p0036. Simple o2 sensor swap right?
Possible causes of OBD code P0036
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit open shorted to ground - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit fuse - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) The Error code is generally activated on detection of the following conditions: The P0036 is set when the ECM detects an open or shorted to ground condition on the heated oxygen sensor heater circuit.
Want to clarify that bank 1, sensor 2 is the passenger side, post cat sensor as well.
Is this a common code? Anything special to check besides just swapping the sensor?
Thanks guys!

P0036 = HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
If in-line harness plugs are clean & free from oil the O2 sensor replacement would be prudent.
P0036 and P0056 are both downstream sensors correct?
(OBD points to Bank 1 Sensor 2 and Bank 2 Sensor 2)
According to https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...7-request.html
P0036 - Heating of component G3/6 (Right O2 sensor, after TWC [KAT]) : Open circuit
P0056 - Heating of component G3/5 (Left O2 sensor, after TWC [KAT]) : Open circuit
...so part number A0015409517 for the post cat ones is what I think needs to be replaced.
Anything "fishy" about both going out at the same time? Is there a fuse specific to them that I should check first, or anything else to check before hunting down the parts and replacing them?
