MB Smart Key

Do you any of you guys know if a 2003 MB s500 Smart key would work with a 2001 c320 after reprogramming it--or any smart key as a matter of fact. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ah, that's one of the 2,586 myths fostered in "Gone in 60 seconds." The smart keys can be programmed in Germany, but the dealers also can program them here. They'll program replacement keys, but I would doubt they woudl reprogram keys from one car to another... security liabilities. But you can always call them and ask.

The s500 is identical to the c class smart key. So after reprogramming it will work then? Thanks

I sense that you're going to bid on an S-Class key on E-Bay. But buying a key is only half the equation. You have to convince a dealer to program it for you. So don't waste a dime on the key until you call a local dealer near you to be sure they will agree to program it for you. Some might. Some definitely won't. So check before you buy yourself an expensive (but useless) toy.
