after a close inspection to the front end of my car, my front is full of rock chips.. looks like drove my car through a war zone and back

I feel for you. After driving several months here in AZ, I had enough chips that I got the clear-bra. I did not get the chips touched up prior to installing the bra, since the chips were not that noticeable. I just got frustrated seeing new chips every time I washed the car.

Does the clear bra make the small ships you had even more noticeable? I've got a few on my front end as well and was thinking of getting the front bra.

I dont notice that much of a difference with the clear-bra when looking at the chips. I dont know if the colour of paint you have may or may not make the chips stand out or not. In fact, I notice the bra more so than the chips on the white paint. The clear bra seems less noticeable on darker coloured paints. Just my opinion.

Same here!!!! I am come to a point where I choose not to look at my front bumper anymore!!

I have scheduled an appt for early Dec to have the whole bumper repainted and then I'm gonna put the clear bra on the bumper (not the hood). Hopefully that will help.

def glad i went with the clear bra! I have put almost 5k miles on the C320 and no chips to date! (knock on wood).

I feel your pain. I have ~21k miles on my C320, chipped to hell. No other car seems to have as many chips as the MB...must be the paint.

nope, not just MB. All car companies are having this issue (hence the huge success of the clear bras). This is due to softer water based paints being used today due to EPA regulations. My lexus has a ton of chips, thats why we got the bra on the C320.

due to my lack of motivation this morning to use the search button, what's a reasonable price to pay for a clear bra and a good manufacturer?

I got the Stongard product - it was a little more expensive than Expel. But, I believe both are made by 3M. I got the full kit - front bumper; front 1/4 of the hood; fog lamp and head lamp covers; side view mirrors; door edges; door handle inserts; and back bumper trunk sill. I believe it cost me around $400-450. And another $250 for installation. You can probably get it cheaper.
