2003 c230 wiper blades not working
Hi everyone, I am new to this site and could use some help, if you please and thanks.
The wiper blades don't work, so here's what I did so far.
I connected the wiper motor plug directly to the battery (red to positive and brown to negative) and the motor worked fine and linkages were moving back and forth fine.
the wiper fluid come out fine when I push on the switch.
the wiper blades switch does not work in any position.
I replaced the 2 yellow relays in the fuse box under the hood with new ones.
I don't know what else to do. does the switch need to be replaced or is there something else. Thank you for your help.

silver slipper wiper problem
You may not know this. The wipers will not work if the hood is slightly cracked open. I live in pack rat country, my hood is always cracked open when I'm home, and I just spent hours physically checking every fuse on the car because my wipers wouldn't work. Then it dawned on me: Hood...Wipers...Maybe....

I just replaced the combination (turn/wiper) switch in the column on my friend's mom's '03 C240.. We have access to Star equipment to check actuations and actual values of components. I wouldn't say this is a common repair, but it looks like you already narrowed it down by making sure the rest of the system is in working order.
