OVERheat help plz****
hey guys quick question.
I recently bought a 02 c230 compressor 6 spd
the temperature fluctuates from the middle of the gauge (80) to halfway to the 3/4 (90). its never gone past 90 though... this is all of course in Celsius..
I was thinking a radiator flush or maybe one my fans aren't working...
please help! thx

It sounds more like a bad thermostat since it's variable but their failure mode is usually to fail open giving you longer warmups (and cooler temps). Are you getting any CELs?

Thermostat could be sticking instead of completely bad, which could be leading to the variation.

Here's a link on how to do change the thermostat. It looks easier on the car in the pdf than it was on my car. I didn't take out the belt tensioner because of all the stuff in the way. but I was careful to keep coolant off the belt and check that the belt was in good shape. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...w203-c280.html
It was pretty easy (since I didn't mess with the tensioner) except that I broke the air intake tube and had to buy a new one.
Make sure you have the proper coolant (and mixture).

also I don't have a CEL on though, could this still potentially solve my solution?
im a youngster new to the benz world sorry for my inexperience lolz.
