Digital Climate Cont.
ok well the mod that i have been wanting really really badd for the past year has come to a dissapointment 
I bought the DIGITAL CLIMATE control 203 830 09 85 from the Euro Guru MBenzNL (Steve) which was great to deal with.... at the SocalEURO event this past saturday....but was sad to find out that my car is one of the few that cant use the climate control 
i only blow air from the vents aimed at the feet...and it does not get cold or hot enough 
THIS i belive other then Command is one of the BEST mods and im sadd i cant do it....unless anyone has any other ideas i am selling the Climate control for what i bought it for $175....i think this was the best $175 that i could have spent on a mod that would make the interior of the car look 10X's better.....

Same here... I'll be happy to buy it from you... but how in the world would I know that is compatible with my car 
I also have a C240 2002. In the other hand I heard someone saying that there are only two models of that digital climate control. Probably Steve can exchange it for the other model

iv tired both the 09 85 and the newer one on my car and both have the same result.... i dont think there is a way to check if it will work with which car... i talked to LorinserCclass at the meet and he said he too could not use the Digital..but others have been able to use it, like Jay with a carlsson c class and others with c230's.... so iono if there was a way to reset it i would .... this is one thing i really want i find it makes a world or difference to the interior... makes it from a "honda" to a euro car with digital stuff

The "09 85" version will work with 2003 C240 Four Matics. There's three of us in this forum.
Someone should compile a chart showing which versions have been known to work with any particular model and year.

C32
How do you know that your car is OK, or the unit is OK?
You need to try a known good one from a working similar model car, in your car. That is a 15 minute job and should be easy to do.

C320 - Sport
I have a C320 and my DCC had to be replaced (kept popping off auto). The new one happened to be an updated model (buttons a little different). When I left the dealership it only blew warm air out of my defrost vents (no matter what the setting was). I immediately returned to my deal who said they forgot to synchronize it (to the 13 motors it controls). Fifteen minutes later I left again with it working fine. Could yours just need synchronization? If so I don't know how to do this but perhaps someone does...

I have an 09 85 unit that at first did not work properly, but after a friend at a dealership played with the STAR System for a while it began to work, though he couldn't explainwhy becasue he was still receiving error messages on the star. However, I do know one of the things he tried was resetting the motor controles... If you have access to a STAR system try having them play with the HVAC settings.

interesting... man i need to make a friend over at a dealership... yea it only blew air from different vents and never got really cold or really hott when i changed them.... if anyon know anything else about the star system or what they are able to do with the settings to make it work correctly i would really appreciate it

Very sorry to hear that it didnt work Jim...and you looked so excited lol....I think we got the first batch of w203 or something cuz they dont seem to work. That is the ONLY part that I CANNOT switch dammit!! haha
