HOT air inside the cupé.

Problem solved!

Ok I am sorry if this is a repost of a problem allready solved. But I have been searching far and wide for a sulution for my problem.

I just got this stationwagon w203 and I am loving it. Just one problem with it. We are getting cooked inside the car. All we can get out of the fans is really hot air. I went to a friend who had this diagnostic tool and he told me to change the AC module *The one in the dashboard showing the temp and airspeed* And I did change that hoping it would be the end of our torment. No such luck. Problem is still there. From what I can understand it must be the flaps that wont close and open correctly. Just that when I open the hood I just run away scared. It´s so tight inside there and I have no idea on where to start to look. On a sidenote I opened the hood today and tried to listen if I could hear a motor running or something. And all I could hear was a high pich buzzing sound.

The fan is working and I can regluate the speed of the fan. Not the temprature of the airflow.

I could really use a photo guide on how to solve this problem. And yes I have allready checked Youtube for a guide and found nothing

I can see I have had alot of views but not a single reply. I really need help with this. Or at least a temp fix so I can get the hot air off and just let normal outside air flow inside instead.

My friend had a similar problem in his W211 E-class and the reason was broken "temperature regulator valve", sorry I dont know the official english word for this.

Might be the same problem with your car, though I would just take it to handy indie or dealer and let them deal with it. Also dealer can diagnose your car with Star and see if any of those flaps are jammed or broken.

You may want to try resetting the climate control unit:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...imatronic.html
This will recalibrate the flap positions. Listen for clicks and other weird sounds while it does.
If you hear clicks, most probably your stepper motor linkages are broken.
The flaps and stuff are buried somewhere inside the dashboard, you won't hear/see anything under the hood

I have tried this many times to no avail. So the flaps are behind the dashboard! Damit then I can´t even rechange the positions by force

Ok. I give up! I even checked where the wiper motors are to find this duo valve and nothing. I will just have to let my wallet bleed like a whale stranded on the beach and let the mechanics at the shop deal with this! On a side note! I tried again to resett the AC and it just would not stop blinking! I let it run for 15 minutes before I got tierd of it and turned off the car.

I'm assuming then you have also perused this sticky thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...g-hissing.html
If the AC reset does not finish that definitely indicates broken motors and/or linkages.

Lucky you, I was going to ask if you wanted the step by step instruction for disassembling the dash to get to the flaps. Let me put it this way, it takes hours and hours,
and while it can be done DIY, it is a serious PIA.
And "while you in there" it makes sense to replace all the motors and flaps.
My local mechanic had a car apart W203 where the person was willing to pay the labor.
Something like 8+ hours minimum. The bill was gonna be like 2+ grand.

My car blows air out on the floor no matter what. Yeah, broken flap or motor.
Your feet freeze in summer and get cooked in winter. Sure would be nice to fix it...but no. Ain't gonna do it.
So yea, please share, WHAT CABLE?!

Behind the AC module there are two cables. One big socked and one small. The small one was connected to the module but had unhocked in the other end That simple!

Oh yeah, had an old BMW, had to move the flap with my hand as cable was broken.
