fade feeling only applies when beating the crap out of your car. In regular driving you won't feel much difference.

I think that I have a little more grip over stock - but honestly i think that's just my brain compensating for the 650 hole in the wallet. Yes it was a steal - but they truly aren't needed for daily driving.

that having been said, i don't regret the purchase!

Hey peet i was talking to a shop bout getting c32 brake kit installed and they asked me whether the new kit comes with new brake lines or reuses the coupe lines? I also was thinking of SS brake lines but he said it'll give a more digital feel (stop or not) and will lose that gradual feel of regular lines (analog?)

The kit does not include brake lines. Use which ever you want. The stainless lines should provide a somewhat less progressive feel because they don't expand as much under pressure.

Get the SS brake lines, the feel is better, and they are DOT rated.
I don't really like the digital/analog term, what you get is pressure to the pads sooner.

Just think about it, it is all about very high hydraulic pressures through very small steel brake lines, then to get to the wheels the fluid goes through flexible lines. The stock rubber lines although very good, expand slightly and delay pad action until the line expansion stops.

Now with ss braides teflon lines there is almost no expansion, so immediate action by the calipers and pads.

Besides they look cool

LOL who's gonna see them? The roadkill?

Now if there's less progressive feel isn't that a bad thing?

Hehe, I'd only get them because they look cool. My stock breaks have plenty of tripping power for me.

That world depend on your skill as a driver. For the average American car herder, yes, it is a bad thing. I take that back. The average American "driver" couldn't tell the difference.

wait till u get ya pulleys.

Actually i feel my brakes are starting to give a lil more distance since they were new. I do want get em for hopefully 40% looks and 60% in hope of more stopping power. Man I saw a stock IS300 with just stock size cross-drilled rotors and it looked nice.....the sad thing is the rear discs on IS300 were bigger than the fronts on my coupe.

Lynn, can u be a lil more specific bout the improvment of the C32 brake kit. I mean when its hot in TX 90-110F and sometime I have to drive around town running errands (stop n go) for about 45min+ I can feel my brakes start giving (fade?) so I assume the C32 will last much longer till they start to fade? also how bout just pure stopping power? are u saying its the same? I would imagine with 4 calipers and exrat bout an 1" larger disc i'll get at least 20% more braking or something

The ss lines look cool -yes. But 1) you need to watch them (inspection) because if they fray you lose a line and your pressure. 2) they don't make a bit of difference in feel unles you (again for everyone's pleasure...) beat the crap out of your car. The temperature in the fluid must be hot enough to soften the regular lines for them to expand any to make fraction of a perceived feel change. Sorry - those of you that claim you can feel the difference, it's the butt dyno talking to justify the high expense.

I did it - I figured the system was being drained anyhow, why not. Cost wasn't too much more and if I ever track the car it will pay off.
