They shouldn't shift unless they were installed incorrectly/off or are reinstalled incorrectly/off. When you do wheel bearing jobs or even for better access to control arms on some cars you have to take the breaks completely off and you don't replace the parts.

Sweden's roads are great. I agree with you. I like wheels that are protected by the tyre & don't approve of stretching the tyre to operate outside it's design parameters.

But to each his own. I gave up couselling members on safety a long while back. They must do what they want to do & live with the consequences.

Thanks, Glyn! I also heard you can use brake cleaner to remove the paint/zinc from the braking surface. The picture you posted of the painted rotor, was that zinc or enamel? I want that look! If I do decide to go with enamel, I assume I could mask/spin the rotor as well, yes?

That is zinc spray in the picture I posted.

Yes if you go the enamel route you can mask caliper & spin the rotor.
