Can you get to the tensioner pulley to release the belt w/o removing wide silencer?

I don't have the E sockets. I'm going to replace the alternator pulley ONLY!
Are you sure the alt. pulley tool will clear the silencer?
BTW, if you find the tensioner wrench as a loaner tool let me know - I am planning on replacing the belt and idler/tensioner pulleys. If you don't R&R the silencer, you can probably save a good 15-20 minutes.
I have actually spent more time trying to figure out a shortcut to release the belt tension without removing the silencer than it would actually take to remove the damn thing...
