How long was the Pulley on the car?
Who did the Install? Please take Pics of the Center!
Did The Welds fail? or did the Stock Pulley fail?
I Would Contact the Shop/person that did the Install to find out what failed....ASAP!

I installed the pulley in november of last year. I sent it to install it with a mechanic shop near to my house. I went to talk with them and said that they need to check tha car to know what happens but probabbly ir was the pulley that fail. It was the ASP pulley the one with the problem. i will post some pics when i know how to reduce the size to 1k thanks for the interest.

In your sig you said you have ASP alloy pulley, so you have the aluminum version? Because from my understanding the modified stock core version didn't come out until mid this year, and you said you had it on sine Nov of last year...

I've heard of one failure of the new ASP version, but it failed on the stock part after 3 hours of usage, not the ASP modified portion. I see this as more of an installation problem.

Sorry this happened to you. I know it can be disturbing. Do you know if it's the all alloy pulley (all black with a steel band around the small hub) or alloy/steel combo (steel center area held in with about 6 screws, the rest is black). You can e-mail it to me and I'll post it. carl@buellwinkle.com

Woo~ fellow you have the oldiest all aluminum pulley! Now I'm not surprised because there was one reported failure on that pulley a long time ago and it failed at the exact location as yours. And I also did a stress analysis which predicted the same results.
From what I saw your damage is not that bad and can be fixed easily.

If the key and seal are intact, get the new version bolted up, and away you go....

Somebody know how can i get out the head od the aluminium pulley out of the keyhole of the block. Remember the the pulley brake exactly over the surface of the key of the engine

I guess you can't post more than 1 byte pics so I loaded up on buellwinkle.com to display here. The pulley is the original all alloy ASP pulley that was recalled for this very reason. Sorry to hear that it happened....

Seems like nothing had been damaged other than the pulley itself, or maybe the key. Aluminum is soft, so I'd say use dremel or something to cut some grooves on the broken collar and then carefully pry it out using a prybar and some WD40.
