oil in the intake system
Hello to all, I have 2004 c230 k with 160k+ miles , been doing all maintenance myself (mostly), for sometime I've been noticing small amount oil thruout intake system meaning downstream of airbox maf, thru first broadband silencer, into supercharger out to second wideband silencer to intercooler into throttle body actuator and intake manifold. intercooler pipes are sweating with oil on the outside. I think is coming from positve crankcase ventilation , I took off valve cover and it looks like the pcv system is built in to valve cover , dont see anything wrong there. How does it separates vapor/oil ? Thru air pump close to eng firewall?
. My next step is to install oil catch can , but I would like to fix the oil issue first, it's the wife's car so she don't drive it very hard
any help is appreciated Thanks.

thanks for reply, no it's not leaking or dripping but to trained eye there should be no oil on the outside of any lines in the eng compartment. I know that these cars have extra boost from kompressor , so far it has not affected anything like performance or oil consumption . I installed oil catch can last night , will keep an eye on it if is effective and post result.

Noted! I should have said has anyone fitted a catch can to this line or converted it to an open system. I appreciate this would not meet emmission standards and would be more suitable for track use only. Here is a link explaining the different catch can options: https://www.radiumauto.com/Blog/Post/Catch-Cans-101-102
