I have a problem about installing the HID in my car c class 240 2002 because the computer didn't recognize it.
I already tried twice but it's still didn't work.
I also tried with the HID 8000k but it is also didin't work.
I heard that we must set the computer to the dealer.
I already asked to the dealer in Seattle because I stay in here, they didn't want to do it because I don't buy from them.
It's suck man, the other car like BMW, Audi didn't do like this.
Please anybody who has the solution for me to set the computer
help me to show me the place that can do it or the other solution.

yes, the best solution would be to have the dealer set your computer for you. you may have to call several dealers... some may charge you 1/2 hour? service

you could possibly get the relays that hids4less or autolamps has but that entails some splicing probably... so it is not the preferred method.

I've called my dealer, spoke to a few people, got transferred around a lot, left messages and still no word back as to if they will do this. Anybody have a copy of the MB diagnostic software? If the connector is somewhat standard I can make the custom cables. Where is the connector on the car? I love a challange!

If someone could "sneak' a copy of that software to us, and buellwinkle could make a cable i'm sure that he could get a ton of orders for it. How nice would it be to have our own MB diagnostic software. For private use of course

I would imagine that there's some sort of hardware involved in the connection b/t the laptop and the car. I don't think they'd make it as easy as pirating the software and making a cable from Radio Shack parts. But that's just a guess...

I think we can't get the program.
It just depend from the dealership.

no but I already asked the HID4less about it but they also didn't know ow to install in this car

Check with your dealer. Mine said they would install an aftermarket HID kit. It actually looks easier in the sedan than on the coupe because the bulbs are not so deep in the housing.
