How Abt W211 E55 AMG Brakes???
Can the new E55 AMG front brakes kit be install onto a W203 C320 sedan? If yes, it will look very aggressive. Those E55 amg calipers are huge.
Fast response are welcome. Thanx.

True they might be heavy but those Calipers and Rotors are extremely huge. They look very nice. Are they also made by Brembo like the C32Brakes?

THIS WOULD NOT BE AS SIMPLE AS IT SEEMS. IT'S NOT JUST A CALIPER/ROTOR SWAP.
You'll need different wheels (clearance AND bolt pattern are different on the E) as well as new lug bolts and brake hydraulics....
Oh...and then there's the warranty, but you guys don't seem to care about that.

Here are the problems:
1) E55 brakes are at least 30% more heavy than C32 brakes.
2) As someone has mentioned, it is not a direct swap. A lot of labor is invloved
3) Most likely only AMG wheels will clear the front calipers
4) The front and rear brakes are around USD4000
5) Is there a need for it other than cosmetic purpose

The reason i want to install the E55 brakes is because they have more piston than the c32 brakes. I am not saying that the c32 brakes is no good. But i want something that will look more aggressive.

Yes, I believe they're 8 pistons too. So I believe that the e55 brakes will work much better than the c32 brakes. Only if this can really be done on a w203. I will try to get some pricing in this week and let u guys know.

I think Kleeman installed the E55 REAR brakes on a coupe, and the c32 brakes on the front.
The car was featured in C&D.

I've done extensive research regarding the E55 brakes. See my thread in the E55 forum. Some little known facts:
No one at present time makes a performance pad for these brakes. Pagid will have a race pad in a few months.
The brakes are the same on all 2003-4 E55, SL55, S55, CL55's.
The front rotors are identical left and right; they are not mirror images. They circulate air properly on the left side and in the wrong direction on the right. I don't think the cross drilled holes even go through both rotor surfaces. MB really chinced out here.
The rotors are very heavy, and inexpensive.
The calipers are 8 piston front, 4 piston rear, are very heavy, and are cheaper copies of Brembo aftermarket products that MB contracted with Brembo to build keeping the emphasis on cost containment.
My recomendation, go with a full aftermarket Brembo product for about the same price. It's just a better, lighter weight product with more pad options.

Same with the C32 brakes.. a race tech was working on my car and was shocked to see the incorrect rotor on the right side. I thought for sure he was mistaken, but he was right. Shame..shame. truly a shame on a 60k C32, but even more rediculous on $80k+ AMGs
