ok do you need the part number or what brand of lights to get.

Phillips vision plus offer more light than stock but they are still stock looking, but very bright

Razo and Eurolite offer the best looking "blue" light while giving off ample light too.

Vision Plus would be my choice for high beam and fog light.
Razo or Eurolite for low beam

i'm looking for the brand...was searching through the web and could not decide since they don't offer pics..
want them all to be hyper white... and bright

heard the philips one don't look as good as some other brands for the fogs and highs..

speaking of lights....

I've a question:
What is the "city lights" that you guys are referring to? Are those the two smaller lights besides the main headlights (come on at night) or the side marker lights??? I am a bit confused here!

By just changing bulbs you can't get much brighter than the Phillips Vision Plus from the UK. The best of the blue bulbs are still dimmer than or equal to a stock bulb, just whiter like the Nokya and Razo. Some of the fake tinted xenons like the PIAA Platinum don't last very long according to people that have tried them and are still dimmer than stock.

For bright, bluish white bulbs you'll have to shell out $400 and get real Xenons. There are several brands like Hella, Phillips, Eaglelite, Osram and they are all in the same price range. You can use them for the high beams (same size as low beam) as well as the fog lights. I don't know if anyone makes a xenon kit for the taillights but you can get the LED ones that are brighter and cheap.

The only white city lights (12v5w) i found are B1 Hybrid from a local store (got this url from the package http://www.nissei-polarg.co.jp). The low beam are Razo Premium White Zero H7-55w from http://www.autowerksexpress.com. They're very nice

They sell direct plug in replacement for the taillight bulbs that has like 6 leds in them. I saw them in a catalog. If I find it I'll let you know.

the C230 has a row of LED's along the back glass right above the plastic see thru thing. You can also get the fake looking xenon lights for your brake and reverse lights too. I dont think i would do that though. Since I have already installed the eurolites into my fogs i will leave them there but if i had it to do over again i would put the Phillips Vision plus lights in there. They give off so much more light and preform better in fog, rain, or other low visibility conditions. Although the xenons look good in the fogs they dont do much good for me unless its clear outside. Your city lights are just a small wedge like bulbs that puts off just enough light to make your high beam light up. You can get those in xenon as well but i havent tried it yet. I will eventually. It does look better but not stock.

Please please! I think LED brake lights are very cool! I did ask MB once if they can put the S-class brake lights system on a C, but they said no. I would definitely want to change to LEDs for my brake lights.

So "city lights" ARE the ones besides the headlights, NOT the side marker lights, am I correct?

right Harris. when you turn on your lowbeams look at the small light that comes on in the highbeam side of the headlight, those are your city lights.

LED Taillights

I can't find my owners manual but most cars use the 1156 or 1157 tail lights and turn signals. Here's a place that has a 30 & 40 LED bulb replacement that kinda cool. With that many LEDs it's probably brighter than Xenons.

http://www.theledlight.com/ledbulbs.html

If 30/40 LEDs are too much here's a small setup with 24 bulbs.

http://www.ledtronics.com/pages/News84.htm

If the 24 is just too much for you here's a lowly 15 and they still claim to be brighter than regular bulb.

http://www.wixtools.com/html/led_lighting.html

The main reason I feel you should go for a large amount of LEDS is to maintain a high enough load on the turn signal bulbs to mimic the stock lights or they may not blink correctly.

WOW those are cool. I dont know if I would spend the money for the brake lights but the backup lights would be awesome.

While on the subject of lights...

Have any of you tried Phillips Silvervision bulbs to replace your blinkers? The Silvervision bulbs are painted silver, thus elminate the orange look that they have even when no light is being emmitted. Even better, they illuminate amber, and thus are completely legal. This is an easy solution to those looking for a clear corner effect, but worried about getting a ticket.
