On trade-in you'll probably get the average auction results and typically they sell for under $20K. On the street you'll get a few thousand more. Ask for $25K, that's about right, depending on mileage and how quick you want to sell. You'll never recover a dime for your extra stuff, actually many people may perceive the car as abused because of it so it's best to peal it back to stock and sell the stuff seperately, that's what I would do, even my Audio 10, Renntech muffler, pulley and whatever. Heck, having command will only fetch $500 in blue book, you can probably sell it for more than that seperately.

Average price at a Manheim Auction is $21K and that is what most dealers go by here in the US. Since Manheim has 83 auctions and is the largest in the world, dealers log onto them and see what average is and that is how they base the trade in values. And the dealer and auction do not care about the extras.

So sad knowing my car value is that small.
Maybe I should try eBay. haha.
I thought I can get at least $30,000
But......
Thanks guys.
I won't do trade in. my friend's 2000 z3 can sell higher than my car. so sad knowing. should have sell it earlier. lol.

For the past 7 years, I have been dumping off my cars to my other family members prior to getting a new one.
I would offer the car $3k less than the trade-in value to them. I might lose a little but at least I know someone from my family members/relatives may benefitting from the saving than the dealers.
And of course I would never pass up a lemon to my relatives. This way I could still see my old car from time to time.

No in. I am an IT guy for a non-manheim owned auction. So no Card to get in as I have no dealer license. From our auction I can buy but I keep that to just me and for me or family. Sorry but that way I keep my job. And I like my job. Buell, yes I can get prices and I will, as long as I am not bombarded with requests. I will respond as I did in the thread. As I did for you.
