C240, C320 Monthly Payment

94 MBZ E420, 93 BMW ACS 325i

C240, C320 Monthly Payment

Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying my mom a new C class. What is the avg monthly payment on a C240 or a C320. Thanks.

I used to be on the E420 board but sold the car.

Lastly, why would you choose a C230 or a C240 if you compare these two cars. I know it's a 4 vs. 6 cylinders.

You can typically pick up a C240 a little cheaper because the demand is not quite as high for them. This gives the dealers a little incentive to lower the price a bit. The C240 does, however seem to run a little smoother than the C230 and I like the idea of a V6 as opposed to a 4-cyl. I pay about 580/mo on my C240 on a 4-yr lease. This is a little high because I went in with an upside down vehicle.

Wow....that's a lot of money for a C240....much more than I thought.....

I have a friend who leased a Porsche Boxter last year, a $52K car, and her monthly is $502 with $2500 down for 48 mo.

What if I lease the car? Would that make any difference?

It all depends upon how much money you're putting down, and what the interest rate is. There are many websites where you can calculate monthly payments. As for leasing, there are other factors to consider such as the residual amount, and of course, mileage restrictions. You could also look at a balloon loan which has lower monthly payments with a large payment at the end.

As for the C240 example, he said that he was upside down which meant that he owed more than he got (sale/trade) on his last car. They then rolled this amount into his new car. Without knowing how much he was upside down, you can't really know if his payment would be comparable.

There are no good comparable answers to this question. Just like revstriker said; interest rate, downpayment, length of term, etc all play into your question. Once you figure some of this out you can find it on the website, ask your lending institution, etc.
