My Mods and upgrades to date!

Have owned my c230 2005 Sport Sedan about a month. I love it!!

The first thing I did was change the spark plugs. Used Pulstar plugs and gaped to factory specs. Didn't notice a big difference in power, as manufacturer claims, but I'm sure new plugs are better than old nonetheless.

Next installed K and N air filter. Love it! Seemed like it took ECU a week or so to adjust, but clearly can hear and feel a difference in power.

Most recently installed a Sprint Booster throttle controller. It's really a fun gadget and makes the throttle response faster. The car is an animal!

Will also change the ATF and fuel filter soon, since the are performance related and need to be done anyway. Later I will flush the steering fluid and coolant.

Not doing any work anytime soon though, since I broke my Lexus trying to replace an HID light. Replaced a headlight, and now car won't start... really crazy

Sure I can take some pics! The Spring Booster has a red activation switch which looks aggressive. The K and N is also nice. Don't want to ruin the car, since OEM is so beautiful, but I do plan to do all the maintenance items and a couple OEM trim upgrades..

The crowd wants some pics jaja!
Wich K&N air filter did you use? The one that replaces the original and fits in the OEM air filter box? Did you notice any improvement in performance?

Not to hijack this thread - but I have replaced my air filter with a K&N air filter that fits in the stock OEM air filter box. I have noticed a slight difference in power and performance... granted it isn't like I gained 50 hp or anything, but I can feel a slight difference with the new air filter.

With that all being said, I plan on modifying my air intake over the winter. The air filter box is supposed to be ram air but I don't feel that it gets the air inlet that it actually needs when running the stock air filter box. I don't necessarily want to put on a cold air intake, so I am going to modify the air intake itself. I'll take pictures when I do this project and share them.

Here are pics of my sprint booster activation button. This is a really great low cost and low risk mod. Just makes throttle response faster but it sure is fun.

Yes I bought the k and n air filter to replace the stock filter, it is just a drop in direct replacement. And yes, I do feel a power gain. Nothing drastic but it just feels and sounds more powerful.

As a side note, these mods take time to adjust to the Ecu. Didn't notice a big difference immediately but now it's quite noticable. Could be due to the pulsate plugs too but who knows.

Will take pics of the filter as soon as i have a chance. Aside from normal maintenance I'm probably done ruined my lasts car by overdosing it so playing it safe..

Interesting place to put the SB control. I just velcroed mine to the dash to the left of the hvac unit.

In that location there are absolutely no wires showing. I lost the black double sided tape the kit came with. So I used some white tape which shows a bit. When I get a chance I will use black tape.

SOOOO how do you like your SB? My car is a MONSTER with this and the K and N..

My car's history as of a couple of weeks now. It was an 02, and the rust just overtook everything. I did enjoy the SB on it, and still can't figure out why everyone gets so pissy about them when the subject is brought up. Still have the SB, though, and going to throw it on ebay shortly.

Won't work on a 2004.
However, if you have an M111 with a manny that you don't have listed, I could let it go for $80 shipped to the lower 48, more to anywhere else.

Different engine, so no. In the W203/CL203 range, it's only good for the 2002 coupe with the manny.
