HELP!!!! broken Blet and colant brown
hi! , when i was driving my mercedes c320 2003 a mensage showing on the computer say that there was a problem with the alternator or the bat , i dont take to much care , because the batery was little old , i drive like 6 more kilometers , then i stop the car for like 2 hours , i turn it back on and drive another 4 Km back to home , then i hear a strange sound of boliing water comming from the engine , when i see it the belt was completly gone , there was like a spageti there , and the colant brown
did i just broke my engine ? did i cause to much damage ? how much that will be to fix it ?

Your serpentine belt broke, so your alternator stopped turning - therefore the warning light. However that broken belt was also not turning the water pump. So your engine overheated. The brown color of your antifreeze might just be old coolant. There is no way to know what damage has been done from your description. You should check the oil to see if it has turned milky (antifreeze in your oil = bad). If not, then drain/refill your coolant and replace the belt. Then drive it a bit to see what happens next.

Who did the coolant change 3 weeks ago? MB coolant for these cars is not green. It sounds like they did a minimal job, or perhaps nothing at all.
Your coolant was probably low due to the overheating from the broken belt... it exited through the pressure cap.
