Probably a stupid question
Hey guys, just picked up a 2003 C230 Kompressor for the wife.
All seems good, no issues but got it home and noticed a vacuum line unplugged from a part of the engine that I don't know what is.
Can one of you let me know a) what the round brass colored component is just to the front left off the side of the engine and b) if the vacuum hose that forms a hard 'U' into place being unplugged would cause any issues?

If the vacuum hose is unplugged from anything you will have a vacuum leak first thing.

the vacuum hose that was unplugged is after the switchover valve so it wouldnt cause a vacuum leak unless its actually running the secondary air test which is on cold start and before the engine is in closed loop so there wont be any driveability issues anyways.
