Mercedes C320 catalytic converter
Hello all...
Recently I been hearing a rattling noise coming from under my 03 Mercedes C320. Took it into a shop to get diagnosed and was told I needed to replace both left and right catalytic converters. After doing my own research, I find this type of noise associated with a bad CAT that needs replacing.
Anyone tackle this type of job before? Do they need to be welded on on this type of vehicle?
The shop quoted me $900 bucks for the job which is a little much for me. I rather do the work myself. Also, if anyone has visual diagrams of removing of both CAT that would be awesome.
After shopping for the catalytic converters for both L/R, I find them to be less expensive then what I was quoted. What do you guys think? I live In CA.
Here are the links to the parts:

On one of my older cars I bought both the cats then went to Midas and they charges me $150 to install them. Saved about $1000 for what the dealer wanted. Bought the parts from Napa they were the cheapest
