C230 Wont respond to key. Please help!
A couple days ago I bought a 2002 c230k coupe. The car drover perfectly for about half an hour before it misfired and died, wouldnt start again. Turns out the alternator was bad. So Yesterday, I disconnected the battery, replaced the alternator with a new one, connected the battery back up, and now the car wont respond to my key. The unlock/lock buttons wont work and they key wont turn in the ignition. It does make the whirring noise when I stick the key in but It just wont turn. Radio and lights work. They key works, took it to a shop and got it tested, also looked at it with my phone camera and the IR blaster works. I dont know what to do. I feel like it was something I did while replacing the alternator that unsynced the key. Please help!
