Just get the April CAR and DRIVER (HongKong edition) today,
they said the c32 sport coupe will be coming on August.
349hp and 0-100km/h will be 4.5 sec

Hopefully will coming to North America (I think)
Who will get the first order??

Unfortunately, the C 32 Sports Coupe will be an AMG Special, like the S 63, CL 63, and G 55. That means it will be produced in very limited numbers and probably not be available in the US as opposed to the AMG Series which most of you are already familiar with. Here is the MB webpage:

Indeed. I would have to agree with this myself. I just discovered this information, through www.jes-mercedes.de and its link to the AMG homepage. Apparently the C32 AMG Coupe is being produced as an AMG special, not a series car that we are used to seeing. Also, the C30 CDI AMG will release in Europe as mentioned. Whether this comes over remains to be seen...

There were also reports coming out of the New York show that the G55 AMG may come to the US. Can anybody confirm?

Exactly why the 349 HP C32 Coupé should be 0.7 seconds faster than the C32 sedan to 100 km/h is a mystery to me, because:

1) it weighs virtually the same as the sedan (well, the Coupé is 10 kg lighter, at least in C 180 and C200 K versions); and

2) the C Coupé has a Cd of 0.29 as opposed to the sedan's 0.27, which would make the additional aerodynamic drag quite a factor, especially in the highest speed ranges. Drag increases at the rate of speed squared...

The only explanation I can think of is different second gear or final drive ratio, in which case the gearbox spacing is compromised or the top speed of the Coupé is lower. The sedan could be equipped with the same gearing, in any event.

It's another option for an expensive toy to entertain myself with in the off chance that I make tons and tons of money sometime soon (haha).

I don't know if they play these kinds of jokes in other parts of the world, but it's quite common in the United States.

If that's the case, it seems strange that a large respectable company like Daimler Chrysler would engage in such a prank.

The AMG website states a 5.4 second time for the coupe, which is slower than the sedan and the SLK 32, which I believe is the faster production MB

If this thing DOES come to the North America side, what price will it be around?? if its anywhere near 50-60K CAN...i'd be glad to switch my E430 for one of those...

and will the Interior include better quality as well as Nappa leather? i'm not too picky about the transmision..

Sequentronic is Mercedes' name for an electronically controlled clutch. It's sort of like an automatic. However, there is no hydraulic torque converter like an automatic usually uses. Instead, a computer engages and disengages the clutch when changing gears.
I think there might also be a foot-controlled clutch for when you're idle and not moving so you don't stall the engine. I have never driven one, however, so I don't know for sure.

if its like the new BMW M3 transmission it puts the car in netraul when not moving and you hold the brake. I think thats how it is butnot sure. I would love to get my hands on a C32 coupe with that sweet tranny.

That's not the sequentronic system. It's just an AMG tweaked version of MB's newish automatic transmission. It still uses an hydraulic torque converter.

Although, their tuned automatic (doesn't upshift while turning, etc) sounds better than a regular auto.
