Replaced the Battery yesterday.. Unplugged the Negative first.. When installing, I put positive terminal on first.. Reset windows and sunroof, nothing else needed messed with.. But while driving I noticed that the rear H/K decklid speakers weren't coming on, and there's no bass in the music any more.. All door/dash, center speakers work fine.. Any help would be appreciated!!
Your amp could be going out. Have a look at it.
IF that is the case why does changing the battery cause that.. I unplugged the AMP and ALL the sound when out.. Plugged back in and still the same.. GRRRR.. Stereo does not sound as well without bass!!!

You might want to double-check that there are actually speakers in the rear deck... from inside the trunk.
I had an impression that there's only a sub on the right side and that's it.
What could have happened - you had equalizer set to bass boost, and it reset after the battery replacement?

Some times things happen with out cause or by coincidence. Do you own a volt meter. Have you tested anything?Originally Posted by ToRmEnToR

No AMP = No Sound. Period.
Use of an electronic stabilizer/retention unit is recommended.
Here is a picture of rear deck with HK.

You don't state which car you have, but if it's a MOST-equipped system then I doubt it's your amp. Regardless of how many add ons you have (CDC, phone etc) the amp (if installed) is always second after the Audio gateway in the HU (also known as the MOST loop master). If your amp goes out you wouldn't get any sound at all, and it would affect the other loop devices behind it...
Oh sorry, forgot to mention that.. It's a C230 SPort with H/K Surround sound Stereo.. Thanks for advise..

OK.. So we just checked My friends C32 and his rear sub isn't working either.. I told him after he got the car that something is wrong with his H/K system, because it didn't have the bass mine did.. lol.. Now we have the same sound.. bummer.. But he DID replace the battery by himself when he first got the car.. I'm GUESSING he had the same thing happen..

Didn't have any issues with my HK when I changed my battery a year ago...and since then I've disconnected the battery several times and even jumped a couple of cars. You need DAS
My friend THOUGHT the same thing, until we actually stuck our heads over the rear deck lid and discovered there was no sound coming out of the speaker there.. The music sounds great and has 'some' bass.. It's just missing the extra bass from the deck lid woofer..
WHATS DAS????

I believe it even has a mode where it isolates the individual speakers and lets you test their operation.
