NICE...those are the one from the Euro's evolution sport pkg. You will probably know it as the 2004.5 sport pkg, which the car comes with this tip and crossdrilled front brakes.

I am wondering if you can put those tips on a "non-sport" C-class, because of the cut out in the rear apron. Also, because the exhaust tips are turned down on the muffler - I am wondering if these tips cannot be attached to mufflers with straight exit exhaust tips.

looks good, but for the price, wouldn't you be better off adding a less restrictive muffler + tip? sure it's a few bucks more but in the long run, it's worth it

I got those tips about a month ago and HATE them. Mine should be on ebay soon for a very low price.

Cool Hey guys, Thanks for the compliments

shtatc:
It probably will fit for non-sport, its just going to be pointing down a little, or you can have the bumper cut to shape...its your call.

FrankW:
Yes, this is a part of a 2004.5 sport model, when I order the part number the split end cap wasn't included. For me it looks fine without the split, so I went ahead and installed it. and I'm happy with the result

I will post the part # tonight when I get home, if anyone is interested.

Here the 04.5 tip

and here is mine without the split

I would say 20 minutes

the most. It need to weld all the edges and cutting the tip is necessary to make it fit. Have the exhaust shop do it unless you have a tig weld at home I paid the guy $20.00 plus tip because I was the one guiding them what to do.

hey, once you get it

you can try them on, by holding it into position, then you can tell the shop how you want it to attach.

Do you mean you had to cut the OEM exhaust's "bent" tips or the new tip that you purchased/installed? I assume that you at least have to cut the OEM bent tips off, but could you cut them down so that only an inch or so is left to go through the holes in the new chrome tip? I only ask because when looking at the close up pic, I can see your OEM tips in there and want to minimize that as much as possible when I have mine installed.

blake

its up to you if you want to cut up to the bend of the oem tip, but on mine i decided just to cut about 1.5 inch so its right before the bend.
