yea, yea, yea...i've heard it before.
the M3 is a machine with a ton of power and handles amazing. if it was a SECOND SUMMER CAR then i would have kept it. however, its a rough riding fickle car that costs a fortune to fix.
to those that have never owned one and driven it on a daily basis, he/she might think i'm nuts.
the C230 has plenty of pep, looks beautiful, has 4 doors, and a very inviting interior. nice combo of luxury and sport. the M3 is a track car that is street legal. not the best vehicle for new england.
oh, and i never said i wanted more power.

Mine worked. Got Brabus dual exhaust tip without any modification to the bumper or etc.

Exhaust tips
Ok, I know I can get the exhaust tips from performanceproducts for $180 but is there anywhere that I can get cheaper ones? Or maybe an exhaust that would sound stock (of course more expensive though), I just like the quiet stock ride sound but I can't stand the turn-down tips.

i've had those amg style tips at the beginning...
looks great from the rear...
but from the side, ur exhaust still looks like --\__
if u want to keep it quiet, then try to get used amg muffler...

I bought two ss tips from my local (gasp) Honda dealer for $100.00 that bolt on perfectly over the pipes on my 02 C320. The quality is typically Honda (excellent...even though I have now officially *******ized my Benz...) and to a degree you can vary the amount of extension that "looks" right for you. They of course point down at a 45 degree angle.

Yeah that post is useless w/o pics. While we're on tips...whats the issue with the tips from '07 possibly fitting on an '05? I look underneath one at the dealer last night. Seems like its just striaght swap of the muffler & tips...is that possible?

you can get a brand new AMG muffler for $300, and weld it on for another $50.
it will give you better sound and performance than exhaust tips, and it wont fall off on the highway
