Not sure if/where this has been discussed but does anyone have part numbers or any idea of where I can find these bushings? Car is a 04 c320 4matic. I need the two bushings per control arm. Thanks

Thank you and I looked on the link you gave me and it has the whole control arm but doesn't break it down to the bushings. Having a hard time finding these bushings...don't wanna pay $1k for whole new arms when mine are fine. Thank you though

Talk to folks at ecstuning, rmeuropean etc. see if they have something.
EPC does not list those bushings as separate parts.

Mecedes stopped making them as separate parts. You are going to have to see if anyone still has remaining stock. I was told the same thing by my dealer. They are willing to put in new bushings if I bring them the parts, but they are not able to order any separately any longer.

Well, I have decided to go ahead and just replace the whole arms as it seems the bushings are nowhere to be found. called numerous vendors and all same answer. Genuine Mercedes arms is out of the questions with those starting at 1050 a set. I'm trying to decide if I should get the FEQ (First Equipment Quality) or Optimal. There also is Dorman but that is kind of pricey but not out of the question. Anyone have any experience with these brands? thanks

Davis hi... old thread but I am also in need of new lower front control arms for my 2004 C240 4Matic with 125k on the clock. The genune MB are insanely expensive at $500 a piece.

Did you go with the OPTIMAL brand or Delphi or which? AutohauzAZ has the Delphi brand for 140 and Optimal for 151 and Autohauz offers a 3 year warranty so might go with the Delphi one based on that .

Rockauto has several options including the Dorman and Rein for about 160. Thanks so much for any feedback you can share. JOhn

Hey I am having same issue with both front lower control arms, FCP have both of the bushings for each side, is there a way to find the replacement ball joints? can they be press fit? Just from quick search I was able to find some ball joints at NAPA not really sure if it'll be safe to press fit them??? Also how are the Delphi or optimal parts? specifically how is the ball joint on it? also Are able to press MB bushings on them?

i bought the delphi control arms from AutohauzAZ and they've been totally fine and that front end rattling noise is gone.

it was about 3 hours labor for my indy mechanic to install them.

i wouldnt dare buy the genuine MB control arms for 500 bucks as these Delphi ones do the job just fine.

not sure if you can press out the bearings or not. i still have my original MB control arms that were removed from my C240 4matic and if you want those let me know (im in chicago and they're sitting in my garage)

Hey! thanks for the quick response! yea we recently purchased this vehicle knowing there was a clunk! I was doing the the engine and trans oil flushes and looked closer to find out it was lower control arm, I was hoping for something else but what can you do.
I would really appreciate it if you can! I am also in Chicago area, I would like to attempt to replace the ball joint on a test unit since it is my brothers daily driver! If it fails Delphi it is! yea the price did fluctuate though i will buy from AutohauzAZ since they have 3 years warranty! I wish FCP carried these it'd have been awesome but nonetheless 3 years is still great! I am not sure how to PM on here if you can kindly do that I will send you my contact info! thanks once again!

sure you can have the control arms! glad i kept them and hopefully you can do something with them. they are the MB OEM originals that I replaced at 125k miles.

I would ALSO recommend you do the rear differential fluid change as your car will shift like its brand new! i just did mine yesterday and it takes maybe 15 mins once you get the car jacked up. takes a 14mm hex bolt (not a socket) to remove the fill plug on driver side first and then the drain plug on passenger side

Dude awesome! Yea great tip! I totally forgot about that! I will order the Diff fluids also! so I basically had my brother pick a c320 4matic and my sis c240 4matic and doing things simultaneously! had a hiccup on his trans oil pan due to sever rust on it and drain bold is stripped and rotted! we cleaned the surface rust and painted over it! But i will be ordering new pan and I will add the diff fluids with that! So far we did engine n trans oils and filters along with trans gasket and the electrical connectors!
But hey did you know c320's c240's take E85 fuel? unfortunately my C32 doesn't but the NA M112's take E85!

Omar - i used a mityVac to suck out my trans fluid from the engine bay using the trans fill opening (with the red cap) and skipped doing the pan/gasket/filter process since I was worried i couldnt get those bolts off either.

after the trans fluid change AND just recently did rear differential fluid the car shifts like NEW and drives amazing. i would get a slight clunk from the rear when decelerating and going from 3rd gear to 2nd and that is now totally gone...assume it was due to the nasty black dirty fluid in the rear diff (it was never changed until i did it at 128k miles!!!)

i did my plugs also and recent oil change and at 128k miles the car runs perfect... getting 26 to 27 mpg on the high way.

didnt realize these old W203s can run ethanol... are you sure about that? i thought on older cars the ethanol can wear out the rubber lines and cause issues.

I have done few rear dif oil changes I recall on the emphasis of removing fill port first before draining, I will probably do back to back 2 maybe 3 oil flushes on the dif just to be on the safe side! no man!! you really want to drop the trans oil pan on these, my bro's car c320 had rusted pan and drain plug was seized I still dropped and changed the filter because on my sisters c240 ( both 4matic) trans filter dropped out it wasn't even connected! talking to a friend of my mine i was told it is very common also the trans oil pan at the bottom had almost like grease build up! you definitely wanna change that filter and to assure it is connected!
Yeah I did intensive research on the forums regarding the E85! the only W203's that can take E85 were C320 and C240 so basically the M112 engines therefore the purchase, we haven't used it yet since we recently purchased the cars I wanted to do maybe at least 5-7 premium fill ups before start using the E85, even then its going to be switched between tanks
