Im new here. Im from South Africa, (no Zuma jokes please). I drive a black C55 AMG which i hope, is the first of many AMGs I plan to own.
Im currently redoing the sound system in my car. New HU and new amp. Ive got a Harman/Becker model 7029 fibre optic amp (part no. A1698204689). I plan on dumping the thing cos its far too expensive to get the fibre optic conversion done.
What i need to know is if anyone out there has the wiring diagram for this amp. Ive looked everywhere but can only find diagrams for other amps.
Phase one of the job is complete. So far everything is working and the sound quality is much better than before.
A big thank you to jrsmith_68 for sharing the wiring diagram. It was spot on accurate. Also, a big thank you to those that shared the info on how to remove the original unit and how to run the cabling.
I'm not happy with the bass coming from the HK Sub, so coming up next will be a Monoblock amp (mounted on the opposite side panel) and a 12" boxed sub.

search for "W203 android". There's a few options available depending on your budget. If you do buy, dont forget about customs..They will charge you import duties. Sound quality is excellent but i guess that also depends on you amp setup. Its android so there are a few minor bugs here and there. One thing that does bother me though is the volume knob. It feels like its going to fall off. I just use the steering controls. Other than that, build quality is pretty good.

here yet and I know I'm a little late but I am going to hook up an aftermarket amplifier to my 2006 c55 amg with the same sound system that you have/had. What color were the rear left and rear right speaker wires?
