2005 c230 kompressor engine start up sound and engine shake
So I just got this 2005 c230k at 116k miles and the next day the check engine light came on -_- and I noticed it's pretty loud when starting up but the noise goes away after the car is warmed up about 10 seconds after, also when accelerating I can hear some noise. Today I was getting off the highway coming to a light when I noticed some shaking and the car turned off in drive but it started back up and I was able to make it home but every red light the car would shake. I have no clue what I got myself into..send help

So you got check engine light, kept driving the car without checking it, and now want us to tell you whats wrong with no info.

The noise on start up could be the timing chain, i would advise you to check and see if its been serviced yet and if its stretched because it is a problem on these cars (m271 engine).
The shaking at red light can be worn engine mounts but also can be many other things, not enough info to know..

Have the codes checked out and do the required fix. Shaking.....might have to change your engine mounts. If you're gonna change your engine mounts, change out the tranny mount also since you're at it.
