Tiff is out of the office until Monday so I will be filling in for her in the meantime. So, info for the TCU tune: if you have an EGS52 module in your 320, we will be able to tune it. If it is anything other than that, we can not tune it. As far as what our TCU tune does:
- We are able to tune for your vehicle to have a more aggressive feeling shift.
- When in manual mode, your car will be able to hold a gear. This does not mean it will go past red line. When you floor the vehicle in manual it will not downshift in the lower RPM's.
- There will be reduced slippage in the transmission. (Not everyone has this issue).
- Torque management systems are increased to help accommodate your tuned engine, if you have done so.
- The modes of your vehicle will stay the same. So your Mercedes will still feel like a Mercedes.
Now I have heard a lot of people asking about the paddle shifters second delay. This is NOT addressed in the TCU. Interestingly enough, this is something that can be addressed in the ECU tune but will need to be asked for. There is no extra charge for this.
